War Of Words makes a strong statement with brilliant gold set against exceptionally dark, almost black falls. 37″ (94 cm), Early to Midseason bloom. The standards are bright golden yellow with rust-red veining concentrated toward the edges. The falls are a rich mahogany-black, dramatically marked with golden rays extending outward from the shoulders and below the beard. Orange beards, lightly tipped in maroon, reinforce the warm gold at the center. The flowers are carried on well-branched stems with a strong bud count. Sweet fragrance. (Thomas Johnson, 2023).
