Gypsy Lord has the distinction of being one of Keith Keppel’s most highly awarded irises, and its dramatic color contrast makes it easy to see why. 40″ (102 cm), Midseason to Late bloom. The standards are a cool blue-white, complemented by blue-white style arms tipped in lavender. The falls are a rich blue-violet with a marbled wash over a lighter blue ground, opening to a striking white center marked with violet veining at the shoulders. A fine blue-violet rim finishes the falls. Paprika-orange beards provide a vivid warm accent against the cool coloring. (Keith Keppel, 2005).
