We are proud to be offering the Guardian Garden iris Gene Wild in this year’s catalog. Included on the list of rare irises, it is a “must have” for the historic iris lover! Gene Wild has deep watermelon-rose color falls, pink/peach standards, and is accented with white. It is a plicata, and stands 40 inches tall. It took some time to establish itself in our gardens, but once it did, it really took off! Gene Wild is a late bloomer, and is usually one of the last irises in our gardens to bloom (Craig, 1952) Awards: Honorable Mention, 1954.
