Peekaboo Zebu makes the most of its broken-color pattern, with white streaking appearing almost randomly across rich red-purple petals. 35″ (89 cm), Late Midseason bloom. The standards are red-purple with irregular white streaking, while the falls deepen to a richer red-purple and are much more heavily streaked and splashed with white. The unpredictable markings mean individual flowers can vary in their balance of purple and white, adding to the appeal of this distinctive iris. Bright tangerine-orange beards provide a warm accent at the center. (Brad Kasperek, 2005). Honorable Mention, 2007; Award of Merit, 2011.
