Melissa’s Smile has a striking contrast between soft lavender standards and exceptionally dark blue-violet falls. 38″ (96.5 cm), Early to Midseason bloom. The standards are pale lavender, becoming lighter as the flower ages, with slightly deeper veining and ruffled, serrated edges. The falls are a rich, dark blue-violet with a white semicircle surrounding the beard, heavily marked with blue-violet lines and dots. A pale blue-to-white ray rises from the lower edge of each fall, adding another distinctive feature to the pattern. Bushy yellow-orange beards provide a bright focal point.
