Helen Collingwood is a classic historic iris with a crisp contrast between bright white standards and richly colored falls. 40″ (101 cm), Midseason to Late bloom. The standards are clean white, while the falls are a deep red-violet to purple with lighter veining near the shoulders and small yellow accents at the hafts. The strong two-tone coloring gives this 1949 introduction a remarkably distinctive appearance more than 75 years later. (Kenneth D. Smith, 1949). Honorable Mention, 1950; Award of Merit, 1952.
