A truly unique historic iris! Boy Friend’s standards are medium amber and tan colored; the falls are a bright golden amber and tan, with an amber edge and hafts.  The beard is bright yellow orange. Boy Friend blooms Early-Mid season, and typically grows to about 38” tall. Has a slight fragrance. (Williamson, 1986) Honorable Mention, 1988.
