Aegean Wind has the cool, breezy coloring its name suggests, pairing blue-violet standards with much lighter falls. 43″ (109 cm), Midseason bloom. The standards are a clear blue-violet, while the falls soften to a milky white with a pale violet-blue cast, creating a distinctive reverse-bicolor effect. Blue beards become yellow in the throat, adding a small touch of warmth at the center. The flowers are nicely ruffled, giving the soft color combination added movement. (Schreiner, 2008).
