Some Recommendations from our 2019 Online Catalog...

Our Best Seller to Date...

Our best selling tall bearded iris to date has been Drama Queen (Keppel, 2003), which certainly lives up to its name!  This Dykes Medal winner is a plicata, and has rich, dark cyclamen-purple colored standards.  The golden buff falls are dramatically overlaid with showy cyclamen-purple veining and banding.  It has a slight, sweet fragrance. Awards ~ Honorable Mention 2005; Award of Merit 2007; Wister Medal 2009; Dykes Medal 2011

Our Historic Iris Best Seller...

In our Historic Iris section, our best selling tall bearded iris so far this year, has been Raven Wing (Milken, 1955). The beautiful velvety-purple color of this iris simply has to be seen to be believed! Some even state that the color is as dark as a raven's wing, with much the same sheen.  This iris grows to a height between 36" and 40". It is a must have!

Our Most Popular on Facebook...

We added this iris to our catalog when it received overwhelming "likes" on our Facebook page!  Lady Friend (Ghio, 1980) is a beautiful garnet-red, deep rose colored iris that will visually pop from across the garden.  It is unmistakeable in its beauty.  It is an early bloomer, carries an abundance of blooms, and stands a tall 38".  Awards ~ Honorable Mention 1983; Award of Merit 1985.

A Sentimental Favorite...

Also a favorite on Facebook, one only has to take a quick look at Barbara Jean (Mullin, 2005) to see why everyone loves this iris! The best color description is "iridescent lavender", and it is a beautiful addition to any garden! It has lightly ruffled edges with a deep blue/purple beard.  This is a mid-season bloomer, and stands 35" tall.  Awards ~ Honorable Mention 2005; Award of Merit 2009.
